2012 180

So things have been going great so why not make it a whole encompassing feeling? Going to go back to getting myself back to where I want to be. Happy I made my goal of getting into a well know company, with room to move up.

HAIR. So with the new year, I have begun to work on my hair again. Going to see my stylist in two week, to get anther chop done. Not sure whether Im going to go for the big chop or just hack off whatever went bad, but keep length. Until then I have taken out my Senegalese twists, and stripped my hair. I have been doing co=washes and tried out the miss Jessie curly mereinge. Didn't really like it but going to try it till the jar is empty. Probably go back t my Elasta QP mango butter and co-wash with VO5 strawberries and creme again. Why change what was working.

FINANCES. On the financial side, I have decided to take more drastic steps to beign credit card debt free. As usual Christmas went a little too far, and set me back in my goals. So I had my son shred my cards tonight. And I am sticking to my plan, though I set myself back a month. But I am still looking forward to having a car in 4 months.

HEALTH. Today was my first day back on the Atkis diet, I did good for lunch, but dinner went south because I had some ramen noodles :( But I am looking forward to losing the weight and getting back into shape.

HOME. Last but not least, I have taken steps to getting the house in order. I have a dining room table on layaway, and have begun painting the basement. I finished the 2nd bathroom, and am working on the laundry room. I also have been looking at sofas and sectional online for when the time comes.

All in all, my 180 plan is working.

Pirate Paint...

So, I ordered through drugstore.com some Opi nail polish inspired by the Pirates of the Carabiean movie. I tried the first one out last night. Just a lil step out of the norm for met to "test the waters". Usually I keep mu nails natural, but I decided to step out on a paypal $10 off $20 at drugstore.com coupon and see if I can make me pretty, instead of hitting the nail salon and hit my pockets.

Every end is a new beginning..

In 2009, I was laid off at my job at the Children's hospital of Philadelphia. It was devastating after three years to be laid off with the whole "last in first out" feeling.

In August of 2010, after over a daunting full year of unemployment, I was hired for a second stint at the City of Philadelphia, providing reporting and compliance management for a $25 million dollar project. As always the beginning is exciting, and I was very blessed to have a job, let alone such a prestigious project. After a while I began to realize this job was not what it was advertised to be. So I have been unhappy for several months now.

Happily to say, in the last month I have been offered a position at Boeing, in the area of Quality Assurance. Friday will be my last day at the City!!! I am so hype!

It's a process!

"I am a woman in process. I'm just trying like everybody else. I try to take every conflict, every experience, and learn from it. Life is never dull." ~Oprah W.

This blog is going to be all about me reinventing myself. What a process!!!! I believe that to stay static is never achieving, but to be dynamic as you age is epic! So far on my list to accomplish is..

1. Strengthen Faith
2. Body Right
3. Career goals
4. Celebrating 1 weekend at a time!
